The Caedmon School

Manhattan's first Montessori school needed a new brand identity that would more clearly communicate its commitment to elementary education and its roots as a Montessori pioneer in New York's school system. The identity was inspired by the bold pop graphics that define the era in which the school was founded, and the geometric shapes and primary colors of the traditional Montessori teaching tools. With illustrations that depict the children—all actual Caedmon students—as the central protagonists of the story, the collateral underscores the school's philosophy of placing the child first.
